The building Wohnsiedlung in Novazzano was geometric, stability and monumental. The geometric shape of this building blend together well with the nature and became a memorial structure in the middle of the city.

Mario Botta (1943 - ) is a Swiss architect, was born in Medrisio. He studied at the most prestigious architect school in Italy, Liceo Artistico in Milan and the IUAV in Venice. His ideas were influenced by Le Corbusier, Carlo Scarpa, Louis Kahn. He opened his own practice in 1970 in Lugano.
